Menu Heading or Separator turn into a link

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
I have responded in another forum post but that's marked as resolved when the issue is not so starting another one.
In joomla and the core templates, the separator and heading are not links but just spans in a list.
Helix ultimate makes them both into links which then makes them go to the home page if clicked. So if you have a page in the child of a menu heading or separator and you click the heading or separator, instead of doing nothing it loads the home page.

This is the wrong behaviour and just adding css to stop the link behaviour will not stop it reloading the page nor with hiding from the menu help achieve what the client wants.

Is there a way to remove the a href from around headings and separators so that they behave as is intended?
Perhaps a switch in the menu parameters so that the a is not wrapped around if its set to "dont make a link"
That would give the best of both worlds

Hi,
Thanks for your query. Yes i've also find that. Don't worry i'm adding this to our todo list( which is quite long ).
And that's what i can do for you.
You can use the link instead of the heading and use a hash there to prevent it to redirect it to home page.
Thank you. That is very much appreciated. Fixing this inconsistency and will help improve the experience when changing from a joomla core template to your templates

Hello,

Yes, this has been a problem for Joomla for a long time that would have to be solved ... in fact, in wordpress this does not happen. Simply no link is created, not does the page scroll up, this would be ideal.

Using the #, joomla scrolls the page up, and also the link path appears with the symbol # at end, which is unprofessional, I think they should fix it. :)

Just don't do anything else, you should just expand the menu.

Any ideas to solve this?

Best regards

You can use the menu heading and that won't add any hash link http://prntscr.com/oulkpp
Instead that'll link to the default page.

-Thanks

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. I'm adding this to our feature requests list( which is quite long ) and at least that's what i can do for you.
