More problems with Titles in Article Add-on in Page Builder

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Different page. Different problems with titles and columns in Page Builder.

I decided to try to use the Articles add-on in Page Builder and have the button activated to Show All Posts.

I set the number of articles to 0 and number of columns to 0 as well.

The articles do not show up, but the titles do.

Hi,
Thanks for your query. If you don't want to show any column or any item then what is the need of that addon?. Nothing will be shown there. That's why the default settings include the 3 column and 3 items. If you don't want to show anything then just disable the addon http://prntscr.com/mx8yeu

I have another thread going where I’m having problems with Page Builder’s Articles add-on showing each article’s title twice.

As a work around, I’m using Joomla’s Articles Newsflash. Sinc Pagebuilder does not allow that core module to show the pagination link at the bottom, I’m trying to use Article’s add-on Show All feature.

I know the default is 3 articles and 3 columns, but if I’ve set that to zero, shouldn’t that turn them off and leave only the button?

Maybe I am asking the wrong question.

Here's what I need.

In Page Builder, I need to display a multi-column blog layout for articles.

How would I accomplish this?

no you can't turn that off using 0. You need to disable that addon properly http://prntscr.com/mx8yeu
And there is no way to show only the buttons except using custom code.

This does not solve my problem.

As soon as you enable Show Introtext and any for number for characters, you have the title of the article twice. See the attached screen shot.

Also, there is no Read More feature so people would have to know which version of the title to select to see the rest of the article.

This needs to be addressed in Page Builder. I've read elsewhere that there are no plans to update Articles Add On until Joomla 4 is released. That will not happen until the last quarter of 2019, possibly even early 2020. That's a long time to wait for something to be addressed when there are so many people having issues with Articles add-on.

I'm not sure why you are facing such issue. I'm guessing that your template has an override of articles addon. Would you please check if there is any override? Please check this screencast

Or you can PM me your super admin access. I'll check.

-Thanks

I'm using Helix Ultimate as the template.

I've found a solution that works, but overall I'd like to solve this issue.

In a few days, I'll create a separate test site and see what happens. If the problem remains, I'll PM you access to the test site.
