News on development of LMS

Featured Lock Resolved Task
We know that many people have asked for modifications to the SP LMS and wonder if there is any progress on this?

Of course, there is a lot that could be done to turn it into a SCORM compliant system with sophisticated reporting but in our opinion just two simple changes would turn it into a much more versatile product:

  • Allow a link to be inserted in place of the video. This would allow other types of presentation to be used. Not much good e-learning is video-based.

  • If creating a new quiz system is too much work, allow for an external quiz system to be inserted at the end of a course. Just multiple choice only is not interesting enough for learners and allows for too much guess work. ‘Passing’ in an external component would then allow the learner access to a page to download their certificate.

We believe that these two simple suggestions would provide a major usability change for the component.

Any information on expected changes will be very useful to us in planning which systems to use.

Many thanks,
Charlotte Cook
