Page Builder Goes Blank When Clicking Text Block Edit Icon

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Hello,

I'm having an ongoing issue with SP PageBuilder 3.6.1 (happened in 3.5.0 as well).

This happens various times throughout the editing process of a page builder page. I imported a page builder template and started editing content, several times throughout I would click on the edit icon of a text block addon and the entire page would go blank. Not the popup, it wipes out all the content on the page.

If I just close without saving, I can reopen and all the content is there, except for the items I didn't save prior to clicking the edit icon.

This happens with the latest version of SPPB and Chrome. I have not tried in Safari yet, but this happens all the time and I wanted to let you know.

Just so you are aware, I am using the default TinyMCE editor running on Joomla 3.9.10

Kind regards,
John

When the issue happens this is the error that appears in chrome console:

Hope that helps, I tried in Safari and it seems to be working ok there. I'll move production to that browser for now.

Thank you,
John

This is a serious issue that needs to get looked at, very frustrating.

I installed you improved version. For sure you can edit now Text & tabs addon from front-end and nothing should go away, I tested on Firefox/Windows. Beside back-end edition is safe (even much more). Database backup can save you time, remember before Opsss.

This issue happens in the backend version of SP Page Builder using Chrome Version 77.0.3865.90 on a Mac.

I can test only on Windows Chrome if this can help.

Apple doesn't like Google, so maybe it's sort of sabotage.
Has a solution to this issue been found yet? I'm experiencing the same. Using the backend editor in Windows Chrome. SPPB v 3.5.0, Joomla 3.9.13, TinyMCE

I notice that I don't experience the issue when I switch from TinyMCE to Editor JCE however

SPPB v 3.5.0 - OLD
Update to 3.6.2+

AND check from different browser: Firefox, Safari, Opera to be sure
FYI
Upgraded to v 3.6.3...it still occurs.

Tried in different browsers, only seems to occur in Chrome

Prefer to edit in Chrome, I'm fine switching from TinyMCE to Editor JCE

Maybe it was caused by one of Chrome updates,
do you have 2nd laptop where you can check it?

Hi Paul. This is a bug. This bug has a floating nature and may occur with any addon in different browsers. I came across this in Firefox and using JCE. Please inform Al Mamun about this
