Page Builder Pro 3.2.1: Cannot edit pages

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hello,

currently I'm using the latest version of Page Builder Pro (3.2.1) on Joomla 3.8.7. The template is Helix 3.

Unfortunately, editing pages does not work anymore. When trying to edit any page, all I get in the backend is a confusing site that is kind of completely useless. Please see the attached image to understand what I mean.

I have no idea what could cause that issue. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

If someone of the Joomshaper staff members would like to take a look at the backend of this installation, I will create an temporary Admin user account.

Sincerely

Mahem

Hi,
I can see that, your site can access others CSS files except SP Page Builder CSS file. Maybe this is the server permission related issue. You can take help from the server administrator.

- Thanks

Hi,
Please try by clear your Joomla and browser cache.

Thanks for your answer, Rifat.

I've already tried it by deleting both Joomla cache and Browser cache.

Just tried it again, but to no avail. I still get the mess that is shown in the screenshot in the initial post.

Do you have any other ideas about what could cause this issue?

As mentioned above, if you want to take a look at my Joomla Backend, I can create a temporary Admin user for you.

Thanks

Mahem

Hi,
As I can see that, maybe your https://zumre.de/administrator/components/com_sppagebuilder/assets/css/sppagebuilder.css file is missing or wrong permission. Please make sure that the file exists on your server and file permission is 644 and parent folder permission is 755.

- Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to investigate, Rifat.

I've checked your suggestion. The sppagebuilder.css file does exist in the folder you mentioned and its file permission is set to 644. Also, the parent folder is set to 755.

That means that the issue still persists.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Just in case it may help to find a solution, I've attached a screenshot that shows the file and folder permissions of the folder in question.

Does it look right or do I have to change some permissions?

Thanks

Mahem

Thank you, Rifat.

After some further investigations it turned out that some kind of overriding (inappropriate) folder permissions on the server caused the issue (CHMOD 750 instead of 755).

We changed that and now Page Builder is working as expected again.

Unfortunately, I don't know when and why the permissions were changed. I didn't do it manually …

Thanks again, Rifat, for pointing me in the right direction.

Take care

Mahem
