Featured Lock Resolved Issue
I am having issues with my homepage loading twice. I've attached a gif.

Just not sure where to get this set correctly. Turning off animation on the add on defeats the whole purpose.

Hi,
Thanks for your query. You can disable the preloader from the backend http://prntscr.com/lxfixg
You can also share your site url here thus i can check the issue.
Note: make sure you've not changed anything from the code to add new preloader

-Best Regards

Hello Sifat,

I have verified the "pre-loader" settings on all Helix styles (only 2) is off. It has always been off, and I don't load any other pre-loaders.

The site address is: https://www.proservices.vip

Thanks for your help.

This remains an issue

Activating the Helix Pre-loader causes Chrome to hang.

Still an issue.

Hi,
I've checked your site and i think you are talking about the delay animation which you thought of a double loading. I found there you used a animation delay in your addon and may be that's causing it to run the animation script after the delayed period. You can check that by disabling the animation for that addon.

Let me know your test result.

-Thanks

No.

I am NOT talking about a delay.

Almost a week in, and I am still NO CLOSER to an answer.

The problem is that the component displays the entire contents of the block on initial paint.

Then reloads the component and activates all the nifty animations I have specifically designed using this component for this purpose.

Please, ANYONE take a look at this and if you can identify what the issue is, let me know.

Is there a switch I'm missing somewhere? I'm positive this should not be this way.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I've talked to our developers and they clarified that it's causing only at the time of first loading. And it's causing because of the load issue of different fonts from different server. Actually there is nothing we can do with that.
You can use a preloader for your site and that should cover the font loading time. This is the only suggestion i can suggest.

So let me see if I understand this correctly,

If I use a font that you include in your template, then I will not be able to use these features properly.

I just want to make sure I understand correctly: This is a PROBLEM with YOUR SOFTWARE that will not allow me to use the fonts YOU INCLUDE, and your response to me is there is nothing you can do about it?

Seriously? Nothing you can do.

HOW ABOUT FIXING YOUR SOFTWARE.

This is a PROBLEM with YOUR SOFTWARE

Let me insert my five cents. It works like this everywhere, on any platform, and not only in SP PB. This is because the animation is heavy code and is loaded last. Therefore, the animation on the first screen is used with a preloader or not at all.

This double-painting crap makes this feature at best UGLY and at worst useless.

The elements should NOT be on the page at all during first paint based on the delay built into the animation.
NOT AT ALL.

THEN the delay for each of the elements should fire. AFTER page load.

This pre-loader idea is just nuts. You're telling me that I am going to make a visitor sit through the pre-loader EVERY time they refresh that page.

Now we don't care about positive user experience?

Also, the built in pre-loader causes Chrome to hang. So if I want something that #1. Works & #2. Isn't boring as hell, I'll have to spend more money to do it.

Hi,
I've checked your site and i think some third party extension is causing the load issue. And i'm guessing that rocket loader is conflicting. Would you please disable rocket_loader and check if that works or not.
You can check this link to know how to disable rocket loader. https://help.mediavine.com/conflicts/cloudflare-rocket-loader-conflict

And i've exported your home page to my localhost and the issue isn't there anymore. So, i can assure you that some third party extension or plugin is causing the issue.
Please check your PM i've shared my testing video.

-Thanks

Hi, Sifat.
Could you share your video here. I suspect that you did not understand the problem correctly. This problem has always been and is now and not only in joomla and SP PB. I can reproduce it on a clean installation of joomla and SP PB, without any third-party extensions.

This problem is solved only by using the preloader or delaying the page load (invisible preloader) until all code is loaded, which is not always a good solution. It is because of this problem that I do not use the animation on the first screen. It would be great if you suggested a solution. I think many people are interested in this question.

Your video has the same problem. Objects are first loaded for a moment static, then disappear and reappear with animation. You just did not pay attention to it. If you do not just reload the page and press Ctrl + F5, you will see it.

Thanks for pointing me that. So, using a preloader is only available solution for this issue currently.

Ok. Well, I spent most of the day yesterday researching pre-loaders, and most of them suck. On top of that, I upgraded to the latest Helix Ultimate, thinking I might actually be able to have access to change the pre-loader.

Nope.

So, I have two choices:
#1. Keep using it this way and display to the world that I do half-assed work
#2. Waste more time trying to work-around.

If you guys are going to release components that allow for animation, particularly animation like this, wouldn't it be a good thing to at least test it? Seriously. I am not doing anything special here: using them the way they were designed.

UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE ***

You guys are KILLING me.
ANOTHER DAY WASTED

I have disabled EVERY COMPONENT on the home page, one by one and tested them ALL.
NOT ONE of them is causing the page to do what it is doing.

Here's the scoop.

This is an ANIMATION. PERIOD. YOUR ADDON.
So, if there are elements that are supposed to slide in, fade in or bounce in they should NOT BE VISIBLE ON PAGE LOAD OR INITIAL PAGE PAINT.

That's kinda how animation works, no? If it's supposed to become visible, then it only follows that it would NOT be visible to start with.

Now, not only does this not work, but your own preloader doesn't even work: it hangs Google Chrome hard, and FORGET ABOUT being able to customize it in any meaningful way. Nope. Nothing there bus an UGLY SPINNING circle.

Oh yeah, and I spent about 4 hours researching, PURCHASING and implementing a DIFFERENT preloader, and guess what? Your crap gets in the way of that too.

What I'd like to know is WHY you guys think it's reasonable to have to install a preloader to HIDE the ERRORS?

This is insane.

Hi,
I've added this loading issue to our issue list. And our developers will take care of it. That's what i can do for you.
Till then you can use any preloader to work with that.
I've enabled the preloader form helix-ultimate. You can check this https://www.proservices.vip/

-Thanks
