Passing parameters from template to custom .php files

Featured Lock Resolved Task
Hi all,

I was wondering if I could get some help here with my issue.
I have a defined custom field named 'parameter' in tempalteDetails.xml and the value of that field is being entered from backend/template settings. I need to pass that value to index.php and one more custom.php layout.

I get that parameter/value in index.php by: $this->helix3->getParam('parameter')
But I can't do that in the individual custom.php file.

Is there a way to increase the scope of the Helix template variables so you can access and use those parameters from a custom.php layout?
Are there any settings where you can set what layouts/files can use parameters from template?

Thanks for your query. We are really sorry to say that, we don't allow customization support. We are restricted to give custom support. I hope you will understand.
