Preview URL (sef) issue

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Having an issue whereby the "Preview" link in the admin area seems to be trying to use an incorrect SEF one?

So instead of index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&view=page&id=230 it's trying to link to component/sppagebuilder/230-flexibility-and-storage-service.html

Good morning, How are you? Please attach a screencast video. Let me see, please.

Hi Toufiq - screencast here for you. (Not sure if it's of much help or not but I've no idea where it's getting that URL from:

https://www.screencast.com/t/nJH0eFXS

I would have thought that, coming from the backend, it might have been better to have used a non-SEF URL.

Hi Toufiq

Even with sh404SEF disabled the URL linked to view the "Preview" link in the admin area is still the same? Should it be in the format of index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&page=xxx?

Hi there,

You worked to rewrite the SEF. That's why URL changed.

-Thanks

What do you mean, "you worked to rewrite the SEF" exactly?

We have SEF URLs enabled and sh404SEF installed, though as mentioned, even with this disabled we get the same issue. Other than having SEF URLs enabled and sh404SEF installed I've not done anything else with the Urls as far as I can tell?

Hi,
what version of sh404 you have, maybe old one with issues, hmm??

I am asking, because I have installed and enabled sh404sef_4.13.0.3750
and mine preview links are OK.

Hi Paul

Just heard back from the client after checking with them and the answer was "it all seems okay now" which I think translates to "we didn't bother checking again after you applied recent updates" :)

So i'm assuming there was an issue with a past release of sh404SEF/SPPB which is now resolved as, as far as i can tell, the preview links work properly now. Thanks for your help!
