Problems with carousels modules and custom modules based in owl carousel and front-end editor

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
We have been testing different carrousel modules and none of them are seen in the front-end editor, in the preview if they are visible, but in the front-end editor or they do not look (they can not be selected, it's as if there was nothing and as it is not visible it can not be deleted from the front-end editor, it have to be removed from the layout editor) or appear completely unconfigured, a simple list with all the elements arranged in a column, as if they lacked the links to the js that mount the carousel, these carousels are only seen in the layout editor.

We also have these problems when we create a personalized module with a list (and we configure this list to be a carousel (owl carousel), no tirdh party extensions, only a ul, li elements and owl carousel 2.3.4 js and css.

We have used the latest versions of all:
Sp Page Builder: 3.4.7
Joomla: 3.9.6
Virtuemart: 3.4.2

We also have the latest updated versions of the helix3-ajax and helix3-framework plugin.
We have also tested with the joomla default templates (beez3, protostar) and the problems persist.
The server configuration is php 7.2.
We have also reproduced these errors in Crome, Firefox and Opera.

Hi!!

This is the fourth site that we built with the Sp Page Builder, we know how options and addons work, thanks, please read our message carefully, since that is not what we are indicating, the video shows nothing of what we indicate

Your addons work perfectly, what does not work is any other module based on owl-carousel, as carousels of virtuemart products (we have tried three carousels of three different developers and all or explode or not see) or a simple list li in a custom module with olw carousel 2 like this:

<ul id="carousel" class="owl-carousel owl-theme default">
<li><img src="/images/....jpg" alt="" /></li>
<li><img src="/images/....jpg" alt="" /></li>
<li><img src="/images/....jpg" alt="" /></li>
<li><img src="/images/....jpg" alt="" /></li>
<li><img src="/images/....jpg" alt="" /></li>
</ul>

jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {
$('#carousel').owlCarousel({
rewind: true,
rewindNav : false,
loop: true,
dots: false,
autoplay: true,
autoplayTimeout: 3000,
responsiveClass:true,
nav: true,
responsive:{
0:{
items:2,
nav:true,
loop: true,
},
450:{
items:3,
nav:$('li').length > 3 ? true : false,
},
678:{
items:3,
nav:$('li').length > 3 ? true : false,
},
768:{
items:4,
nav:$('li').length > 4 ? true : false,
},
992:{
items:5,
nav:$('li').length > 5 ? true : false,
},
1200:{
items: 7,
nav:$( 'li' ).length > 7 ? true : false,
loop:true
}
},

//nav: $('li.item').length > 3 ? true : false,
pagination: false,
mouseDrag: true,
touchDrag: true,
navText : ['<i class="fa fa-angle-left" aria-hidden="true"></i>','<i class="fa fa-angle-right" aria-hidden="true"></i>']
});
});

1 - you create a custom module in joomla and put the code
2 - go to the front end editor
3 - select joomla module from the list of addons
4 - select the module from the list and give it to apply
3- the module disappears and can not be selected
4- and you can not add more modules / addons to that row anymore, you need to delete it and create a new one

We currently have a page created with the page builder, in the preview we see the three different carousels, but in the front end editor one is broken and the other two are not seen.

In joomla they are created perfectly and they look perfectly, in the preview as well, but in the front editor no. why?

Thanks a lot for your time and support

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Since you are an experienced user of our product so you also know that custom support is beyond our support range. We only support these extensions http://prntscr.com/nsr7hm
You can try disabling all javascript compressions if enabled and check if that works or not. Since we don't provide compatibility to what you are using that's why i can't assure you if it'll work with it or not.
You can share your site url here thus i can check it.

Note: It's weekend here, i'll come back to you after weekend.

This is not a bug, but an expected behavior. Third-party modules containing JS may not be displayed inside the frontend editor. In this case, you should use the backend editor and live view.
We also have these problems when we create a personalized module with a list (and we configure this list to be a carousel (owl carousel), no tirdh party extensions, only a ul, li elements and owl carousel 2.3.4 js and css.

To solve the problem with ul, li, save the page, close the front-end editor and open again

Hi

Thanks for your response.

You can share your site url here thus i can check it.

Sorry, but we are not going to put the data of our site in a public forum, if you give me an email or the possibility of sending a mp.

Since we don't provide compatibility to what you are using that's why i can't assure you if it'll work with it or not.

We are trying to help to improve the component, we are indicating that we are seeing that there are problems with the owl carousel, not with components, modules or third-party plugins. We could understand that it does not show an old module based on outdated libraries, that's why we are making a list ,but that I put a simple list in ul with the latest version of owl carousel (2.3.4) and disappears the view....

This is not a bug, but an expected behavior. Third-party modules containing JS may not be displayed inside the frontend editor. In this case, you should use the backend editor and live view.

That is not a third-party extension is a simple list, a simple custom module of joomla with a script referenced in the head of the template, template based in helix 3 framework too, and we humbly think that if it is a live view editor that the js should be loaded in the live editing view, because then it is not a live editing view.

We have been doing tests and modules based in owl carosuel disappears or explodes in the front end editor ,it does not matter the version or the developer, and the sp page builder does not offer any solution of the carousel type because all the addons there are sliders or slideshows (carousel, carosuel pro), not carousels, so if I were to develop something like that you would gain versatility in your component

To solve the problem with ul, li, save the page, close the front-end editor and open again

thanks but this not solve the problem, no matter how much it is saved, it closes and reopens the module remains invisible and inseleccionable

We sincerely feel bad when reading this, we will continue trying to find a solution

Good weekend

Thank you very much for your time.
