Publish Date not showing...

Featured Lock Resolved
Hi Joom Shaper,

I need your help.
I can get the front page to show the right layout of the date, then i set the frontend language to other than default (ENG).

I need to use danish and german on my site.
Then i publish a article in danish and login with danish language set in my profil, then just below the date letter, it shows this
and for german it shows this SP_MÄRZ

How and where can i fix this issue?
Helix Framework is on version 1.9.6
System - Language Filter is enabled

Just change the en to da or ge to see my point

Please, override SP_MARCH from language manager.
For this you have to go Language Manager from admin area. Then click on overrides tab -> new -> Write SP_MARCH on Language Constant text field and on Text box write your language.

Thanks for the quick reply, but it did not help..

For each language translations "ENG, DAN and DE", I've created this
Constant = SP_MARCH
Text = MAR

But it's still show the wrong text.

You need to add override for missing strings like SP_MARTS or SP_MÄRZ

Hi Kowshar,

I did what you suggested, but it only works for the danish translation not for the german one.
In overrides, i select German (DE-CHAT) - site and in Language Constant i type SP_MÄRZ and in text MAR

But when i save it, it change SP_MÄRZ to SP_MRZ..can't see how to fix it.

Also tried to change it within 1test.manofwar.info/language/overrides/de-DE.override.ini
I typed in SP_MÄRZ="MAR", but that did't not fixed it.

Do you have any idea?

That sounds good...
Can you tell me a ETA on this?

Can you pinpoint me to a solution right now?

Kind regards,

Dear Ehsan and Kowshar,

I've faced the same problem during tests and I may confirm that it is *not* working, or, rather, it is working until there appears any unicode characters in the month's name, no matter what language. As I've understood, the 'sp_' variables are formed, based on the MONTH and MONTH_SHORT settings in the en-GB.ini and, respectively, other used languages main .ini files.

If you add rewrites through Language manager, you just can't keep the unicoded variable, the unicode character is stripped, like, SP_MÄRZ becomes SP_MRZ on the save, but, if you try to edit existing variables, added manually in the *.override.ini file, like Jens did, and what technically should be enough, then Joomla is ignoring these specific 'unicoded' aliases, although showing them correctly in the list (but, dear, just try to Edit them apart - all fields will be empty). Googling on the issue I've found recommendation to turn on Unicode aliases, what, of course, is not helping, as it affects only the URL aliases, nothing more.

So I came to the conclusion that it is problem how the 'sp_' functions interacts with the J! core. My customer is considering to pay for the copyright removal, as this template is about meeting his needs, but not with such a nasty bug (or, rather, incompleteness), of course...

Thanks for your support in advance!

We will start working on this after releasing Minima template. Thanks for understanding.
