RSFiles and SP PageBuilder/Helix Ultimate problems

Featured Lock Resolved
Hi There

When I use RSFiles with the Page Builder / Helix frame work – the icons for the RSFiles are not displayed (download / upload etc) and page layout gets wrong – menu moves from header to content area.

I have seen some past issues with RS Files and JoomShaper templates. And I use RSFiles extensively on my other sites – only difference on this is I am using HelixUltimate Frame work.

Any advice – clues?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
probably all can be solved, but:
1) As you noticed RSfiles use "old" boostrap 2 or 3?, not BT4, as we did in Helix Ultimate.
You have to push developers to include BT4 as they did for RSForms.
2) It's commercial product, so we do not have access to install and test.

I can try to help but show me at least URL of that page...

Hi Paul, yes it was indeed Helix Ultimate using Bootstrap 4 css and overriding RS files which is using Joomla's native Bootstrap css files. I solved by using custom css shown below - to get the RS files icons displayed at the front end. No idea what the consequences are for rest of the site! My understanding is that Joomla 4 will have Bootstrap 4 as a standard so I assume RS people will update their stuff soon.

I posted here as I was not sure if it was SPPB related but I can see that I posted on 2. section rather than 3 section. My mistake sorry.

Thanks.

Thanks,
Now RS team should consider to upgrade BT in their product, more people will ask them about this, sooner they will do it.

Hello Haluk,

I have the same problem.

I have just asked support to RS Team but they replied me that the RSFiles vill include BT4 only when Joomla V 4 will be released since it will be based on BT4.

I would like to ask you if your temporary override works fine and if it works correctly with all template features.

Anyway, I'm a newbie and I don't how to follow/reproduce your solution, can you explain me how to do possibly step by step?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Enzo

Bla bla bla.... If yes, why they inserted BT3 and BT4 chooser inside RSforms Pro?

Indeed, Your code is not SPPB related.

Hi Vincenzo –

Do you have ftp access to your site?

If so just find custom.css file in your template folder the path is templates/shaper_helix_ultimate/css/custom.css

Just copy the code from my post and paste into your custom.css. If you do not have custom.css file just create it on your computer with a text editor and name it custom.css and upload to your site at the above place.

Or just put it at your backend where it says custom css at the helix ultimate template.

Hope this helps.

Hi Haluk,

Thank you for your reply!

I should have the account to access my site in ftp, otherwise I will ask my administrator to have it.

Anyway, what about possible conflicts with other features of the template in other website pages, when the custom.css with your code is active?

Thanks a lot again.

Best regards,

Enzo

I cannot guarantee that Vincenzo. It worked on mine and I haven't seen anything else affected by it. But you can go through each page to see if there is a problem. Or there is a free Joomla module that enables you to put a custom css only on page that you choose. Maybe you can Google for it. Or if you are using SP PageBuilder just put the custom css on the page.

Hello,

sorry but with RSFiles I'm experiencing in my site a problem similare the one I experienced 1-2 year ago in a different website where I used JSN Epic PRO as template. The problem is shown in the attached screenshot and it happens when I push the 'Create Folder' or the 'Preview' Folder. In other word the popup window (modal??) that should be shown to me is not visible (or equivalent)

The JSN Epic pro support at that time fixed the problem giving me the following code to put in the custom.css file:

.jsn-view-rsfiles .modal-backdrop.fade.in {
z-index: -9999;
}

#jsn-master:not(.jsn-com-kunena) .modal {
position: fixed;
}

#rsfRsfilesModal .modal-body,
#rsfRsfilesModal .iframe {
max-height: none !important;
}

I think the if I knew the equivalent for the the template Helix I'm using now, the problem could be fixed.
Unfortunately I'm not good in this aspect. Can you help me with this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Enzo

Paul,

I understand you point of view, but I thought that the issue was so stupid that for a skilled guy it might require just only few minutes and css code lines to be fixed. Most likely I have underestimated the real effort to overcome the problem

RsFiles is a paid product, they don't send it to us for free, they don't pay us as well.

Vincenzo

The same was for the Joomlashine developers that helped me to fix the analogue problem...They helped me because I had paid their template...in this case I paid more than 200 euros for the SPPB and perhaps a little help was expected from my side

but from where I can take RSJoomla product to check?
Or at least send me access, I cannot promise anything but I will take a look.

Vincenzo

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to give you a super user/admin access to our site.

But I could create a from-end access with login to our website where reproduce the problem...I think it's easy to implement. Please let me know this is a viable way.

I guess front-end access is OK,

as you see helping with commercial products is not easy.
Helix is FREE product.

RSFiles is based on GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE, so yes you can share.

Vincenzo

Ok. Thanks.

Give me the time to implement the environment/access.Is there a way to make private my next communication about the acmes?....Sorry for the possible late next reply but I'm going to give you the mentioned access

Please disable CSS compression from Helix Options.
I have to check from where wrong code is loaded.

+ to template custom CSS please add this:

#rsfRsfilesModal {opacity: 1; top: 10%;}

I have added the the code line you suggested to me, Now I can see the place where to write the byname folder, but after I type it and click on'Create', I'm showed what you can see in the attached screenshot and I don't manage both to see the entire message and to give away the popup window

Thanks,
Sorry, I have no idea how to help you more.
It looks like CSS or JS conflict, for modal window from RSFiles there is added both hide and show class name.

Probably you should ask RSJoomla support for more tips.

I tried, but ... this time I couldn't do more.
Probably it's bootstrap conflict.

Vincenzo

FYI
In the General Settings of RSFiles I've found out a 'Modal' preference which I have set to 'Magnific Popup' (see attached screenshot) and now all works fine

Thanks again.

Enzo

Thanks, good to know.
As you see, without access to software, it's hard to guess the solution sometimes.
