ShortCodes > Columns how to make it work?

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
In each template demo there is a link to Features > ShortCodes > Columns with the following.

Get The Code

[row id="ROW_ID" class="ROW_CLASS"]
[col class="span4"]ADD_CONTENT_HERE[/col]
[col class="span4"]ADD_CONTENT_HERE[/col]
[col class="span4"]ADD_CONTENT_HERE[/col]
[/row]

I figured changing [] to {} but that makes no difference

So how do I get this to function?

This question has been asked elsewhere with no answer.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

------- edit -------
I just downloaded this quick install to my local server
Copied and pasted ALL of the code from the content that appears on the live page link below, which functions identically on my local server. and it ends up like the image

What am I missing
Something simple I'm thinking

<div class="row-fluid show-grid">
<div class="span4">11111111111.</div>
<div class="span4">2222222222.</div>
<div class="span4">333333333.</div>
</div>

This 3 column layout has to work. Put inside HTML mode.

Ok what I've discovered
The use of columns using the attributes such as those below, do NOT work in modules.
Well I can't get them to work :p
It does work in content.
What if anything am I missing here?
How can we fix this, if at all?

[row]
[col class="span6"]
[/col]
[col class="span6"]
[/col]
[/row]

Hi .. anyone there?
is my question all too hard?

Maybe :
1) Enable HTML mode first
2) Use "<" ">" instead of "[" "]"
3) Save, and switch to WYSIWYG mode again

Boostrap should work in that case.

I don't use WYSIWYG
Why I'm confused as to what isn't happening.
If I copy/[paste from content the columns that appear there are removed.
So switching back and forward should make no difference.

Just enabled WYSIWYG and no change to that outcome
Sorry

As I remember typical shortcodes, not my above code should be used in WYSIWYG code.

Thanks so much Paul
May I make a suggestion ....give the code for modules differs to that for content items that your documentation reflects that?

I have to test it first on my demo site, it's an old template, it was my first documentation here.
