slideshow Pro SP2 and grids issues

Hi there
I've got 2 issues with the studio template am using;
1- I've got some difficulty to control the module slideshow Pro SP2. I have been trying to to change the parameters of that module to make the slides go slower but no luck so far.

2- I want to get rid of the GRIDS that displays the articles in squares. I've had a look at the grid css file but it's too complicated for me. S so what should I do in order to display articles without grids?
Please help me!!

1. Change the duration, just increase the value.
2. Studio is complete grid based template. so, you can just use grid 1 from grid 12 in order to control width. As for example you can use sp-grid-8 instead of sp-grid-12

thanks for your help but the duration parameter seems to no work properly, I've tried all the possible values, it hasn't work so far.
As for the grids I got what u said but please can you provide more details in how to use one grid instead of another.
