[SOLVED] Logo will not appear

Featured Lock Resolved
Hi

I have tried to insert my own logo into this template, amending the CSS.TEMPLATE bit (I hope that's right! looked on a previous post), but the image does not appear. I have tried resizing the file a few times, my logo is a rectangle which is higher than it is wide. Would this cause any problems, as I can see that the default logo is very wide.

Also, is there any way to put a module to the top right? above the drop down boxes?

I am very new to this software, last website I made was around 10 years ago!

I don't seem to have this option available _

"extensions->template manager->shaper_simplicity_ii - Default->basic"
From here you can change logo type image and also fixed "width and height".

First: go the following path " templates/shaper_simplicity_ii/images/logo.png" and replace your desire image with "logo.png"
Second: If you want re-size logo, go to admin panel "extensions->template manager->shaper_simplicity_ii - Default->basic"
From here you can change logo "width and height".

From back end need to create module position then you can put any module above drop down box.

Hi thanks for the quick reply.

Sorry if I'm being dense, I am new to this software. Exactly how do I replace the template image with my image? I have uploaded it with the media manager.

Also what position can I put the module in to get it right at the top? The user modules go below the drop down menus. I wanted near where the search bit was at the top,

Thanks

Hi

I am also trying to install my image to replace the simplicity 2 logo.
I went in to the Edit css/template.css and there replaced logo.png with my ownlogo.png.
The simplicity 2 logo is gone but my logo did not appear in place of it.

Also what is the name of the module position for the logo?

My ownlog.png is stored in the joomla media manager root directory.

I am unable to find the simplicity_ii log.png anywhere.

Where did I go wrong. Appreciate your adv.

Thanks
Daniel

Hi

I am having the same problem. Appreciate your help as to how you get your logo image to appear.
I have done the same thing as you did.
That is loaded the image in the media manager and replace the logo.png with my own image in the template css.
What's the other steps please.

Besr regards
Daniel
