SOLVED:Top Panel Rename

Featured Lock Resolved
Hi,

I've already looked through the forum and found that this question has been answered but I'm obviously not getting it...

I want to rename the 'Top Panel' tab and the advice was that the text to change this is contained in the 'Language' file... I've searched back and forth and I'm damned if I can find it...

Can anyone help with a 'Dummies Guide' for me please!

Thanks in advance!

OK... there's references to top_panel (i presume that was what you meant? Not top_pannel) in a few locations on the CSS files but from my understanding they are call references and I can't find anywhere that will rename it if I change the text in the CSS file.

Can you point me to exactly the file I need to amend?

Thanks!

If you see the language file then you will find the string for top panel. Please translate it according to your need.

The string should look like TOP_PANEL

Thanks

Ok..I'm feeling really stupid now but where is the language file :( I've opened up the template file and I see:-

CSS folder
Features Folder
HTML Folder
Images Folder
JS folder
Layout Folder
Lib Folder
component PHP
en-GB.tpl config settings
Error PHP
Index HTML Doc
index PHP
Offline PHP
Template preview PNG
template thumbnail PNG
template details XML

I've gone through each and every sub-folder and I don't see a Language folder/file anywhere.

I'm sure I'm missing something blindingly simple but I'm stuck!

Oops, its in the core language directory (language\en-GB).

Wooohooo.... got it....

Thanks so much for your patience and help!!!

Just as a clarification for anyone having the same problem.

I went into the files using FTP and went to website/language/en-GB

There's a file called en-GB.tpl_shaper_simplicity_ii.ini.

Open this and right at the bottom there is the line with "Top Panel" - Change this to your desired text and then save/replace it back into your FTP files.

Big thanks to kowshar & ShaperRiyadh for their help on this!!

I have the same question . . . however I do not see any TOP_PANEL string in the language/en-GB folder.

Please advise.
