SP Featured Slider for K2

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Despite creating articles in K2 and publishing them to various module positions - the content is not displayed on website. It only displays the 'Featured' box? See bottom right of homepage: http://www.home-computer-fix.co.uk/

Any help greatly received ;-)

Hi Roger,

Please create a clone of your website somewhere in a sub-folder on your server for us to have a look at your back end and, if needed, to play with tweaking it here and there.

Just to make sure I am on the same page with you: are you trying to display some K2 items via a K2 module which you are expecting to display on the right from your FB module?

If Yes, did you try to assign this module to other positions? Did you try to check if this module would display alright under a one of the default Joomla's own templates?

Regards,

Alex

Hi Alex, thank you for your quick response. Yes basically I want to use the slider to point to other pages on my website so am creating articles with duplicate content to the pages I want it to navigate to once you select 'read more'. I also have a Wordpress blog on a sub domain that I would also like to point to.

I have not used K2 up to this point, just the Joomla article manager. Only using because this extension requires it.

Hope this makes sense. I am more than happy to pm you and provide login details.

Thanks again

Roger

Hi Roger,

Please feel free to PM me your Joomla super user credentials to have a look at your back end.

Is it SP K2 Featured Slider module that you are expecting to display your current Joomla and future K2 articles?

Alex

Hi again Alex,

Basically I want the slider to scroll through images with a small amount of text describing what it's about. Then when the user clicks 'read more' it directs to another one of my website pages url's (not necessarily the K2 article it was showing as a preview. I also have a blog on a subdomain so would like to point to new articles I post there too.

Hope this makes sense :-)

I'll pm my login.

If this statement is still true, than there is nothing for the module to show, as it works with K2 items only:

"K2 Featured Item Slider by JoomShaper.com. This module only works with K2 component. The module is fully responsive, in case of resizing its parent container, it is resized too."

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Alex
