SP Simple Portfolio Unknown Column Error

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
When I try to access SP Simple Portfolio component I get this error: 500 Unknown column 'a.published' in 'where clause'<br />Unknown column 'a.published' in 'where clause'

I have uninstalled and reinstalled component and module. No Database errors to fix. Even tried helix 3 in case the framework was not functioning correctly. I am unsure of how to delete the tables associated with sp simple portfolio and if that will remove my current content.

Please advise.

Hi,
you have to use PHPMyAdmin from your hosting panel, it's database manager and delete all tables which have simpleportfolio in their name. Then try to install again.

WOW OK so I "deleted all tables which have simpleportfolio in their name" and now all my portfolios are gone!! So in order to gain access to this component, I have to rebuild all my portfiolios?? I could have used another component for that without all this hassle with tables. Again WOW.

Backup should be your number one step always! Your hosting provider keeps backups too.

You asked " I am unsure of how to delete the tables..."
I gave you a tip.

"if that will remove my current content."
The answer is obvious. You're not beginner.

I have a backup, that is NOT the ISSUE. Previous to the table deletion, my portfolios were showing on the front end, however I could not add new items because of the column error. I did ask the question if my content would be removed, whether it was obvious or not. That was NOT helpful in making this component functional again, without deleting all the content. Nope not a beginner, you are right. I have already installed Unite Gallery as I will be phasing out SP components in the future. Thanks for the input!

Really sorry Mike,
I know that sp simple portfolio is not so perfect as it should be.
Hopefully, it was one of many extensions which were included in your membership.
