SPPB and JCE bug. Something weird going on :)

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Hey guys,

recently I've been having a lot of complaints from my clients that something is not right in SPPB.
Namely, when you edit one text field within any available addon on the page, save the changes in the addon, and continue to the next addon that containes an text editor filed the JCE Editor is missing completely check screebshot 181112 sppb-jce-bug-1.png .

As soon as the user clicks on the no-editor field, hence the HTML editor (no JCE available) the whole page reloads without any element visible. Example screenshot 181112 sppb-jce-bug-2.png .

To avoid the empty page in backend, we have to save and close the page every single time and reopen it in order to update all content.
Now imagine doing that, when having an accordion with 20 items as one addon? Add to that few text fields etc., and one administrator has one whole day of lost time here. This is becoming tedious.

Can you please take a look and notify us what is going on here?
I will copy this question also to the JCE support.

Here some system info:

  • J! 3.8.11
  • PHP 7.1.23
  • SPPB Pro 3.3.3
  • JCE Pro 2.6.33

Cheers,
Ivana, joomla.team
