HelixUltimate Layout Builder

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hello!

Using the FREE version of HelixUltimate, the default layout in layout builder has a section with a title module position.

The issue is HelixUltimate framework is not intelligent to know if that section is empty and should not be rendered so the containers are still rendered although it is empty. Issue will come out when it is used for custom layout, or creating a custom section and a custom styling is applied to containers. Since padding and margin will still be visible event the containers are empty, that creates an undesirable layout.

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi there,

This title module position comes from the Helix. Helix module always will be there. If you have doubt, please check the Joomla default Template Protostar. You will get your answer.

Hi Toufiq,

I know that it is coming from Helix since it is related with Helix menu plugin for Page Title. Please check it out and try to disable the Page Title in Home Page.

The plugin works fine, it will disable the page title and hide the title. What I am saying is, you have to hide the container or section that contains the Page Title as well. Don't you think? There's no point rendering the page title section when it is empty.

Well, I was just assuming that this is true to all sections that I will create in the Layout Builder. If the section has no module assigned or there's no active module, the section should definitely not be rendered. Am I right?

Helix module always will be there.

I don't know if I understanding you right but what do you mean with the Helix module will always be there? Do you mean the section or the container of a module? If Yes, then, please look at Protostar? It does check if a module position is assigned, if it returned true, then render the section or container + the module.

With Helix's code, it does not, it will check if the section was defined from the layout builder, then render the section then check for the module, then render the module.

What I am saying is, it should check for the section, then check for the module, then render them all together. But if the module is not defined then the section should not be rendered. That is because, the padding and margin will be rendered as well regardless of the section is empty or not. When empty, that extra padding or margin will create an undesirable spacing in the layout.

Thanks,

Jackson
