Strange things happening with Articles add-on

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Hi there,

--------
EDIT: I tested some more things as I find the difference between the dutch and english part so strange. English: If the word that gets broken by the limit of characters that are whown has a <strong> tag, the next articles are strong, too. If the word
Dutch: the colums are messed up when the <a> tag is broken by the limit of characaters. BUT: if there is anything <strong> before the <a> text, nothing is messed up, even not when the <a> tag gets broken by the limit of characters.

So, for now I found a way to work around this, but I think you should take a look at this. I can't give this kind of instructions to my client, like 'Hey when you publish a new article make sure that ...' etc.
--------

I have recently delivered a website for a client. I made a landing page using pagebuilder. One of the add-ons I used is the articles add-on. It shows the three newest (joomla) articles from the news category. So far so good. Yesterday my client published a new article in that category. This article has some links in it. This messes up the layout. We have a dutch page and an english page. On the dutch page it messes up the columns (three column layout) and on the english page the colums stay okay but... strangly enough the two older articles that are shown are now in bold typeface?? How can this happen?

See attached screenshots. I tested to remove the links in the joomla aricle and then everything is just fine.

This is the test without links in the newest article:

This is the dutch page with links messing up the columns:

This is the english page adding <strong> to the second and third article:

Hi,
Thanks for your query. Actually whenever your intro text limit encounters some missing closing selectors then it breaks the layout. Also sometimes people just directly copy things from web and paste them directly to their content and that may cause some garbage value there. That's why we always encourage to follow the following steps:
1) Copy things from web or anywhere you want.
2) Then paste them in a text editor
3) Then use those texts as your content

you can goto this file location templates/your_template/sppagebuilder/addons/articles/site.php
Then just replace the attached file there and that should solve the issue.

Please let me know.

-Best Regards

Hi Sifat,

I have been trawling the Joomshaper forums for the answer, and it seems your site.php file has fixed my issue so far! I am worried that everytime my client updates SP Page Builder, im going to have to replace that file every time. Is that going to be the case?. Or will this definitely be fixed in the next update?

Thanks again for the answer that fixed the problem though.

Best,

Lenny

Yes you need to replace the file every time you update that.

Note: Please only use plain text as your intro text and that'll always solve the issue. Within your intro limit never use anything without plain text.

-Thanks
