Tooltip Display Issues

Featured Lock Resolved
I have been trying to figure out how to fix some of the tooltip displays for the sp weather module. I went to the language.ini file and made some tweaks and it didn't fix the issue. When you hover over the icon that has the cloud and snow the tooltip says sp_weather_am_snow_showers_wind, not AM Snow Showers/Wind or whatever the ini has in it for this icon. Also, under the week forecast it displays the low first and then the high, I want to change to high and then low.

How do I correct these issues?

Hi there,

Could you provide us URL to your page with SP Weather module to have a look at it?

Kind Regards,

Alex

Hi Mark,

Please try to clear up your cache or check your SP Weather module page under another PC/another browser. I see the cloud icon tip just fine from my end (see attached screenshot).

Our SP Weather module is just an interface into Yahoo Weather Service API. Please create your account with them and see if your can further tweak your weather items display from inside it.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Alex

I have tried this on other browsers, and it didn't fix the issue. I have made a few changes to the ini file and none of them are showing up. How do you add your own yahoo weather account to the module?

Hi Mark,

Sorry for keeping you waiting due to the weekend.

I can see now the SP_WEATHER_LIGHT_SNOW key shows up, so I suggest you revert to SP Weather original .ini files.

Alex

OK, where do you get the original sp weather ini files?

Hi Mark,

Please unzip your SP Weather installation zip archive into a temporary folder on your hard drive and check its /language/ folder.

Hope this helps.

Alex

I unzipped the sp weather module package, and replaced language.ini file from the package with the one on the server, and it did not fix the issue.

that's because every time you check it its not displaying the icons with the issues., It was just displaying the icon with the issue earlier?!?!?

Try installing the sp weather module on one of your demo sites, and set it to a place that has snow and test it. Also, I stated in the first request on how to change the high and low temps around in the drop down and that has not been answered?!?!?
