Hi,
We talk about that module: https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-extensions/sp-tweet
as you chosen a forum category.
OR
Tweet addon from SP Page Builder ?

If you thought about Twitter addon, here is unofficial file which may help

1) Download
2) Unzip
3) Copy here, if necessary create a new folder name
templates\YourTemplateName\sppagebuilder\addons\tweet

I installed this file following the above instructions. Nothing has changed. The SSL is still broken. I am using the Twitter Feed addon in SP Pagebuilder.

Have you cleaned CMS cache? I replaced all links from HTTP to HTTPS inside that addon.

Please use web tools from post : https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/how-to-do-ssl-check-in-joomla-3-7
to search which link is still with HTTP , I couldn't find more :(

I cleaned the cache. I also checked for the unsecure item through Why No Padlock on the home page and it is:

Hmm, sorry, I cannot find that domain in our code.
I asked for developer check, so I hope in next update ...

I'm sorry for the confusion, before while in development the domain used was dianebranson.com. We went live last night and the proper domain for this website is understandgodswill.com.

No, I thought about
http://pbs.twimg.com

not your domain.

BTW
I made small research on different forums, and I've found topic on Drupal forum, they suggested to check records in database. Are you able to run PHPMyAdmin to connect with Joomla database and search for domain which I mentioned above, and there change from http to https

How does the addon call the Twitter avatar? I can't see this part in the code but it must be there somehow.

I do not see it as well. I don't have idea where to search.

The avatar image URL is given with the URL above that you cannot see in your code:

https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/avatar-image-name.jpg

However your code doesn't use the https way of getting it (which works), it calls it via http...but I can't see how to make it call the https route.

I'd prefer to use the JoomShaper one as it looks nice, can nobody at JS help?

I hope in next update of SPSPB it will be fixed somehow,
I prefer do not deliver temporary solutions which may not work

That would be great :) What I love about PageBuilder is the fact that I so rarely need to add any other extensions, it makes the whole website much easier to keep up to date :)

Same issue occurs with the Flickr PB add-on, it calls the Flickr images from http and not https, yet the images work on https...

Again though, I cannot see where the image URL comes from, it might be that Flickr pass it as http...but given Google's big push on https websites, it's important in my view to have these things working properly over https, otherwise browsers give a warning.

I can be wrong but try here:

$api = 'http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?id='. $id .'&format=json&nojsoncallback=1';

components\com_sppagebuilder\addons\flickr\site.php

In meantime I will ask for check & update

How is this going? I'm sure I saw this mentioned as a fix within PageBuilder but for me it still breaks ssl using the PageBuilder twitter feed...

You have to share site URL
and tell me which element is still loaded via HTTP

Chris

Thanks Paul, can I share via PM, I do not wish to share the address publicly.

Of course, yes PM - then I will be able to ask our developer for advice.

you have to disable Images from twitter feed (addon setting) and HTTPS will be green

Paul,

I am experiencing the same problem.

I recently upgraded to SP Page Builder 3.0.4, and that is when my SSL certificate disappeared.

When I contacted my hosting company regarding the SSL certificate disappearance, this is what I was told is causing the problem:

'An image with an insecure url of http://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images...... " was loaded on line:"

Initially, we thought it was an image issue, but upon further review, my hosting company discovered this thread in this forum. I deleted the Twitter extension and we are still having the same problem.

We also have another website using SP Page Builder 3.0.4 installed and we are not using the Twitter Extension and we are not experiencing any issues with the SSL Certificate.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi Paul,

I did state in my note that I deleted the Twitter module and we're still having the same issue, the SSL certificate has not returned.

Thanks,

Ruth
