Hi,

but that is exactly what you can do with the Duplicate template feature in the template manager. Duplicate the template and then in that duplicated copy you can change whatever you want, including changing positions and every other configuration parameter of the template

Hi,

You have some permission issues on your website. Please check the permissions in the Joomla using System informations menu link and see if it reports the correct permissions set on the Joomla and temp folder

Hi,

I just tried to duplicate the template in the template manager and everything works as expected. If you are trying to create a duplicate copy of the template which you can then assign to a certain menu item, then this should be the right action which you should do.

Hi again Igor
I am trying to duplicate the template not the style so that I can create different positions for a different section of the website. So far the template manager Copy Template function does not work for me. It is what I really need to do. it only crushes on joomshaper templates so I was hoping you had a quick fix. otherwise I will have to install a different template and start modifying it to look like newsplus.

Locate "en-GB.tpl_(YOUR_TEMPLATE_NAME).ini" in the "language/en-GB" folder and copy it.

Rename the template name to the new name.

This works for me. I wish they'd get this sorted out, but this will work.
