Hi,

Where did you try to insert the SVG logo? Please elaborate.

-Thanks

Hi Toufiq,

The SVG file names are: xmcglogo.svg -and- [email protected]

I did the following steps:

1. I placed both files in the following file location:

/templates/[template_name]/images/presets/preset6/

[template_name] is simply a duplicate of spectrum so that I always had a clean install reference. Also, preset 6 is the preset that is selected for my template.

I did not remove or do anything to the seeded logo.png and [email protected] files.

2. I navigated to:

/templates/[template_name]/features/

3. There, I modified logo.php as follows:

> On line 31, I replaced logo.png with xmcglogo.svg
> On line 72, I replaced logo.png with xmcglogo.svg
> On line 73, I replaced [email protected] with [email protected]

4. I saved the changes and reloaded the front end.

5. The site replied with:

"OH CRAP! Unable to get properties for the image."

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Helix3 doesn't exist this feature to insert logo of SVG. You can insert the SVG code into the custom module and publish it logo position.

-Thanks

Ok, I'll take that route.

You may want to consider unposting the previous answer published here (https://www.joomshaper.com/forums/svg-logo#reply-62797) since it shows an unworkable solution on how to publish an SVG logo. It creates confusion for forum users.

Hi Toufiq,

Once you have done this is there a simple way of deleting the Helix 3 logo? The easiest solution I found was hiding the logo in CSS.

#sp-header .logo {
display: none;
}

Cheers,
Josh.

Hello,

I'm struggling with this. Is there a simple way to vertically centre this new logo that is in the custom "logo" position.

Many thanks.

Hello,

Yes, I would like it to be vertically centred on the left-hand side. The website is internal so I cannot give you login details.

Is there any chance you could please provide me with instructions?

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I just did

#sp-logo img {
width: 150px;
height: auto;
margin-top: 11px; /* adjust according to menu height */
}

Which is not ideal but it vertically centres the .svg logo.

Thanks,
Josh.
