Using SP PB3 - one way and later no way back?

Featured Lock Resolved

just a short question regarding Page Builder3:

what will happen if you build articles or a complete website and deinstall Page Builder?

As far I have seen so far the articles are not stored as a normal Joomla article (even if you create a Joomal article with PB3) which I think is really, really bad.

Why have you chosen such a design? I can understand that you want to make it as easy as possible for the end user but why for heaven's sake does PB3 not create a normal Joomla article with Bootstrap / Flexbox as a code basis?
So one could create the article and later on you can change the html code.

If i got it right now it's impossbile to export articles or maybe drop PB3 in a few years (you can never know what will happen in the future).

PB3 shines when you make a small website but it you have a large website with many articles - what to do then?

Or have I overseen anything?

If I am not wrong during SPPB uninstallation database (tables) are not deleted,
but of course you don't have access to them anymore from Joomla admin.
So after that process Joomla will use content from Article com_content table not from com_sppaebuilder

Yes that is what I mean: absolutely no access to the articles, no possibilty to edit or export them.

Why didn't you use a concept with Page Builder where normal articles with a bootstrap code basis are created?
That way everything would be possible and WYSIWYG could be used.

Just a question because I don't understand why the articles are only stored inside the component.

To explain you... we have to back in time, about year back.

SP Page Builder was developed to create separate pages with unique design/layout and all features from SPPB. In December 2016 we added Article integration (many users asked for it) - and it works like layer over article content.

I know solutions which use Page Builder shortcodes inside articles , it has many advantages as well as disadvantages.
