Easy Store Language Issue

How can we solve the translation problems within the store. For example there is every country gets the option of the states. (more for USA approprieate, in Europe the postcode, city and street is sufficient, no state needed) The states are all in English Language only, if a store is in German lets say and you have the Country, State and other fields (Custom Field) not translatet it looks bad for the shop owner. How can we edit thise fields ?
