Helix Ultimate 2.0 RC 1 Brings Full-Width Blog Layout, Latest Bootstrap Support, Several Fixes, and Improvements
Hello Helix Ultimate users! We are inching closer to our Helix Ultimate 2.0 final release. In that path, we are releasing Helix Ultimate 2.0 RC 1 today. You already know that the new version 2.0 is a major shift from the previous Helix Ultimate. It is going to change the way you ever know about template frameworks in Joomla.
Today’s (June 17th) RC 1 version is an experimental release and not ready for production sites. We wholeheartedly appreciate your interest in Helix Ultimate 2.0. You are invited to try this version, but DO Not use it on a production site.
We will be fixing issues you face and make necessary improvements before we finally release the Helix Ultimate 2.0. Do try this RC 1 and let us know any issues you face.

Full-Width Blog Layout Option
By default, the blog detail page layout will be in a container. But, some of you might want a full-width blog detail page. For that particular reason, we have added a new option to enable a full-width layout in the blog settings. You can easily turn off the container layout and set a full-width layout.
How to Set Full-width Blog Detail Page Layout
When you are logged in to your website, go to Extensions > Templates. Click on the template you are using, open the Template Option.
Now, on the Template Option panel, go to Blog > Details, find the Full-width Layout option at the bottom. Enable it and see the changes instantly. Congratulations! You have your blog detail page in full-width layout now.
Get Latest Bootstrap Support (v5.0.1)
Previously, in our Helix Ultimate 2.0 beta 2, we have given full support for Bootstrap 5. Now, since the new version of Bootstrap 5.0.1 is released, we have updated Helix Ultimate 2.0 RC 1 with Bootstrap (v5.0.1) as well. Enjoy the new enhancements of the latest Bootstrap in the Helix Ultimate 2.0 RC 1.
Several More Fixes and Improvements
Helix Ultimate 2.0 RC 1 fixes several issues and makes some necessary improvements. We have fixed contact form overwrite compatibility and form validation issues in Joomla 3 and Joomla 4. Popup issue in Privacy & Terms modal, Countdown timer issue in Coming Soon page, blog details override issue in Joomla 4, and several more issues that we’ve discovered and you have reported.
Helix Ultimate is the finest Joomla template framework ever to arrive in Joomla. The new Helix Ultimate 2.0 is going to take it to the next level. Creating web pages in Joomla has been already easier. Now it is going to be far more modern, advanced, and rich with functionality.

1.) Option to change the background image in Left Modal option.
2.) When choosing a Header, the sections should be created in the layout so that you can edit them to your liking.
3.) The template animation for when working with anchors should be slower, the change looks very aggressive.
4.) There should be a presentation option for the search button in some options of the header to which the search is enabled in the traditional way the template is overloaded.
5.) There should be an option to change the colors of the social icons on hovering, as well as the contact information.
6.) There is an error in the presentation of the blog, it shows that the image is incomplete if one enables a main article to be displayed and then 2 columns of articles http://www.carlsoria.com/helix/index.php/ blog-list
Those would be my observations
I want to test it in depth to check all the bugs fixing I reported.
I want to do it on a copy of my main live site where right now I have installed last Helix Ultimate 1.1.4.
Please, What is the right way to update Helix Ultimate to the 2.0 RC1 ?
Just to install 2.0 RC1 over the HU 1.1.4 ?!?
