Installed the stable 2.0.0 Helix Ultimate as a "clean" install of template into an existing site (not upgrading 1.14 to 2.0).
Currently I'm using the older Helix-3-shaper template not Ultimate. If I switch template, I get the above error when trying to use Ultimate 2.0 but the site works again when switching template back (this didn't happen on live site, it is working on my localhost (WAMPSERVER).
This error was present with RC2 but not RC1 or the earlier betas or alphas.
Is it a problem concerning Joomla 3.9.28 perhaps (as not yet updated to 3.10 and my site is not ready for 4.0)
I will try fresh site with Quick Install.
I upgraded on a test site and some things break which is probably something to expect when software gets a major overhaul.
One of the things that broke on the site is the off canvas menu button (mobile hamburger menu button). Have to dive in deeper to see if there are more thing broken.
I guess it is better to not offer this as an in place upgrade over the 1.1.x versions via Joomla's quick update feature.
Big tip to all: Make sure you have a working backup as is of course normal procedure with any updates but especially with upgrades like these. ;)

Can I update Helix Ultimate 1.x to fresh new 2.x? I have some websites that running in Helix Ultimate 1.x, but I see your Helix Ultimate 2 has many updates, so I'm worry about update problem.

A problem occurred after installing Helix Ultimate 2.0. Gone is the menu in the mobile version of the site off canvas
Tried different settings, does not appear under any conditions.
Can you advise where to look for an error or is it better to restore the site from a backup?

As it is impossible to recover from the error: Default Layout file is not exists! Please goto to template manager and create a new layout first.
Could you please return the previous helix_ultimate version?
