error.php

Asked by thank you 5 years ago Last activity 5 years ago

hello,
short question: what do I have to change in error.php when I do not want that the button "home" brings my clients to domainname.de/index.php - instead of my normal home domain: domainname.de

how can I avoid the index.php and go directly to the main domain.

thanks for your help,

claudia

Hi,

  1. Not only, many webmaster use SEO-SEF extenions which also can handle Joomla errors, 404 included. Or special extension for error 404 only, check on JED descriptions and reviews of them.
  2. It request using extra lines for .htaccess.

Example code from forum.joomla.org (not mine)

RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z][3,9]\/([^/]+/)*index\.php\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^(([^/]+/)*)index.php$ https://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]

insert your real domain name inside.
