The pagination between articles is not displayed. Only with the Cassiopeia template is the pagination visible.

Sorry for the inconvenience and the delayed response over the weekend. We're aware of the issue with pagination between articles and it will be fixed in the upcoming Helix Ultimate update.

Helix Ultimate 2.2.1 has broken pagination in article overrides (default.php) > templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/com_content/article/default.php
Any template override that does not include the proper pagination code will fail to show it.
Temporary solution: rename the file default.php like this: default-lock.php.
