Hello JoomShaper team,
I'd like to report a compatibility issue in the Shaper Finance template that keeps coming back with every template update.
Environment:
- Joomla 5.4.9
- PHP 8.4.26
- Shaper Finance, latest version (v[VERSION])
- Editor: JCE
Problem:
When a logged-in user opens the frontend article submission form, the page fails with a 500 error: "behavior::modal not found."
The call stack points to the template override:
templates/shaperfinance/html/layouts/joomla/editors/buttons.php, line 14:
JHtml::('behavior.modal', 'a.modal-button');
The same call is also in:
templates/shaper_finance/html/com_content/article/defaultlinks.php, line 63:
JHtml::('behavior.modal', 'a.modal');
This one breaks any article that uses the Links A/B/C feature.
behavior.modal was removed in Joomla 4, so both overrides fail on Joomla 4 and 5. If I remove buttons.php, Joomla falls back to its core layout and everything works, including the editor buttons.
The catch is that every template update reinstalls these files, so the error returns and I have to fix it by hand on every site using Shaper Finance.
Could you please remove these two overrides from the template package (or update them for Joomla 4/5) in the next release? It would also help to know whether Shaper Finance is planned to support Joomla 6.
Thank you for looking into this.
Best regards,
Jürgen Hochhäuser
