How to prevent users from editing user profile

Think I'll go with an extension>module>login page - that way I can make the login experience more appealing.

I did check that beforehand, cause I thought it would do the trick - but strangely enough it didn't :)

Some areas you can also hide by using custom.css. This is open code CMS you can do almost anything.
