Forum: Why does The Alert On "reactions" Resets Even When I've All Ready Read The Messages?

When I get the reactions on an ask on the forum, I get notifications. That is handy, after I read them all, the "number badge" disappears. So far so good, but when I revisit the forum, the "number badge" is back again containing also reactions I've already read. So I can't keep track of of it anymore.
What am I doing wrong? Or is the forum "badge" misbehaving very badly?
