if we talk about SPPB 4 (that you forgot to mention) it will be fixed in next SPPB 4.0.4 update.

Right now you have to import whole page with that premade section (block) from website where you still have SPPB 3.8.x installed. And then Import, and Save Row and reuse.

No other hacks, solutions :(
