Using Modules From A Template In An Existing Site (Gazette)

I'm currently trying to implement Gazette on my site, using this page an a test:

https://www.hot-dinners.com/Gastroblog/Interviews/chef-tony-fleming-tells-us-why-the-baptist-grill-at-l-oscar-will-be-a-place-to-come-hang-out-and-have-fun

I've a couple of questions with regards to module use.

On the above page - I'm trying to use the ACYmailing sign-in module and make it look like the sign in module on the demo template. To ease this, I've put it within an SP Pagebuilder module - but it doesn't look anything like the one in the demo - it doesn't appear to be picking up any of the styles.

So - to understand what the differences are - is there an easy way to load one of the demo modules to my own site to try and see how to implement the same design?

Also - on my current template, I have several modules directly under the component content - is there a way to add content directly under there without creating a whole new row?

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Your query is part of customization and which is fully prohibited from our support policy. I have made a video & I think it will help you.

Hi - sorry, I'm a bit confused by the answer.

Are you saying that it's not possible to put a module directly below the component section without customization? That's all I need to know right now.

And is it not possible to replicate the look of the boxes on the right column - i.e the newsletter/follow/popular tags with other modules? Even if they're within an SP Pagebuilder frame?

Can you share a screenshot that you want to do exactly? Thanks

Hi - yes, sorry, had to work out the best way to host them online.

So - there are two parts to this.

  1. Modules under component.

On my existing template - I have a couple of modules that appear directly under the article content. So on this page:

https://www.hot-dinners.com/2021011110172/Gastroblog/Latest-news/bar-des-pres-cyril-lignac-albermarle-street-mayfair-london

If you scroll underneath the map and facebook comments section (which is where the article content finishes) I have an advert and a couple of "also see" links. Because of the very different heights of the articles, I want this directly under content - not under the row. So a layout like below (apologies for terrible drawing):

https://ibb.co/CmF1hzB

  1. Replicating gazette

On this page where I've started testing Gazette: https://www.hot-dinners.com/Gastroblog/Interviews/chef-tony-fleming-tells-us-why-the-baptist-grill-at-l-oscar-will-be-a-place-to-come-hang-out-and-have-fun

The nav and the main content section automatically uses the gazette design (e.g. the border around the content, the style of the next/previous buttons).

However the right nav doesn't use that same design. So I'm expecting the modules in that section to look something like this:

https://ibb.co/PzYzz9L

But as you can see from the link above - they look nothing like that. Note that the top "sign up to our newsletter" is within an SP Pagebuilder module - but it still doesn't take on that look. Will only certain module look like that without customisation work?

Hope that helps?
