Large network payloads

J 4.2.8

I have 2 youtube videos as section backgrounds.
Top section:

But when I audit the site, it shows 7 hits on page load totlling 9.47mb.

Is the above happening because of how SPPB embeds the youtube video?

Why is this happening and how do I resolve this to speed up the page load time?

Hi Odini,

Look at the domain name, yes we use embed code from Youtube. You can also turn on privacy mode for YT, it may help.

Make your own experiment - Copy Embed code and paste inside RAW HTML addon then compare results.

You can use other solution (extra extension/plugin) that loads YT only after user will click play button, and before your custom image is displayed. It helps saves a lot of KB.
