Image Overlays In Headerslideshow

Hey guys,
I started a thread some weeks ago about this problem. I also had a solution. Unfortunately that proved to be not practical.
I have a topbar and below that the main menu. Below the main menu I located a full width Slideshow. So far so good.
Now I need to position two images one layer above the slideshow - one left aligned logo and one right aligned logo.
It should look like this:
How do I position the logo images hierarchical above the Slideshow? It probably works with z-index somehow.
Can you pls explain me how to achieve this? I guess it can´t be that complicated.
