Hello dear support team,

when uploading videos via the SP Pagebuilder -> Video -> Upload MP4 -> Media Manager -> Upload files, I see: COM_SPPAGEBUILDER_MEDIA_MANAGER_MEDIA_LARGE. I had already looked in the forum for similar problems, but many topics end with looking at what the problem is, but no solution.

I have now tried out the "Help Manager", but now I can continue to post the problem in the forum:

I have a project in the settings:

H.264, MP4, resolution from 1920x1080 to now 1280x720, 24 frames, coding 5.5M/bit to now 1.6M/bit and a size of 48MB to now 15.6MB, the clip has been shortened from 6 seconds to 4 seconds and the message continues to appear: COM_SPPAGEBUILDER_MEDIA_MANAGER_MEDIA_LARGE

What am I doing wrong, or what settings do I have to make? I work with the program Davinci Resolve.

I would be pleased about a feedback. Greeting Flo

Hi,

I guess, you are not using SPPB 5.0.6, otherwise you would see message "This file is too large to upload" from language file:

COM_SPPAGEBUILDER_MEDIA_MANAGER_MEDIA_LARGE="This file is too large to upload."

Anyway. Follow my tips:

  1. in cPanel change PHP values of upload_max_filesize to 20M
  2. in Joomla Content > Media > Options > Maximum Size (in MB) set 20
  3. try upload video file again

if will not help - upload file in /images using FTP and just find it in Media unsing "Folders" tab

Hello Paul Frankowski,

Thank you for your helpful tips. In fact, it was probably due to the maximum size of 10MB. I increased this value. Various videos are now uploaded as well.

But I also tried the tip via FTP. There are 2 differences here from playback via the page builder.

I uploaded a video to Image/video via FTP (exactly the same video I uploaded through the player, which works now).

  1. When I want to play a video as background, I manually enter the path and everything is shown to me on the editor page and played. If I save the page and change the view as public and call up the page, everything works.
  2. If I insert a video via "Video Plugin" from the page builder and enter the path manually, everything is also displayed on the editor page and the video also plays for me, but if I display the page as public, it is I only see the blue background, but no player and no video. If I switch back to the editor page, everything is displayed as it should be.

So when I upload a video via FTP and manually enter the path in the player, the video is not displayed and played.

But the solution to the actual problem is that the maximum size was set at 10MB. Thank you for the help so far.

Greeting Flo
