Thanks for contacting us. Yes, modules are also updated. It will change the module settings but the contents will be the same. If there is any content where the Bootstrap/Fontawesome is not compatible with the latest version then maybe it creates conflicts otherwise there will be no issues hopefully. In that case, please make sure you have a full site backup before making any changes.
