Hi,

I have been having problems with white space being shown on the elastic pull on Safari/MacOS. This issue doesn't appear to happen on Chrome or Edge. Can you help me solve it?

It's using Helix Ultimate with SP Page Builder

Hi,

Here's how you get that

on your mouse scrollwheel,

scroll down then, scroll up see the white horizontal space appear.

keep doing that and the white horizontal space gets larger, vertically. Thanks.

Hi,

Yes that is Safari browser feature or bug. Also that white space show chrome you can check that. For chrome we can stop that white space using a CSS property but Safari don't support that CSS property. I can give solution for Safari that will not work for first scroll but after first scroll like second, third etc will work perfectly. Here is a stackoverflow thread on this issue. Let me know your decision, will you stay as it is or need the fix as I mention above.

Here is a video proof that Chrome show white space on scrolling.

Thanks,

Mamun

Hi Al,

I saw your video in your reply for your screen. It seems that the elastic issue is working for your screen. If you would make a video of my webisite showing it working, then I will believe it.

To your point, I don't think I want to follow the issue outlined int the Stackoverflow thread.

Thanks, Ronny

So it is working! How did you fix it on your Chrome? In my chrome, there is zero elastic

Here is how it looks in my Safari v14.0.2

And in Chrome,

In Chrome, while there is no elastic, at least, there is no white bar at the top.

Please tell share how yours works?
