I was wondering how to add a dropdown menu in SP Page builder 5. When I choose the navigation icon i can only add one link per menu item.

Navigation addon was created for simple menu, not to replace MegaMenu.
It means that you have to find on Joomla Extension Directory (JED) Menu module that has all features that you need, then later after installation & confirguration you can use it inside Module Addon.
There are Free (light) / Pro Menu modules. Also, I am sure you find something.
