Not Able To Enable 2 Languages On Site

I need to have 2 languages for the site at https://tomkenyon.ca/ I have followed the video here https://youtube.com/watch?v=tjWBb6k4sg4 but that is for an older version of PB. I have installed French Canada as a 2nd language in the Joomla languages. I don't see it available in the PB languages. I created a menu and a home page for each language and added the language switcher module. I also created categories for each language and assigned them to the pages. The language switcher will only show the English flag though. When I go to the page settings for French, I cannot assign the French language to the properties - see image at https://tomkenyon.ca/language.jpg It only allows English as the choice of language. What have I not got right in adding the 2nd language? Thanks

No offence, but Setting Multilanguage in Joomla is Joomla task (J! core feature). The component does not matter, you can always start/try from articles.
Try again, I can help only as an exception if you fall again.

Accepted AnswerBeside Joomla has HELPER > click on Multilingual Status button. It's worth using if it's there.

Accepted AnswerThanks Paul. This is my 2nd attempt at a 2 language site. The first was done sevearl years ago and I might not have done it entirely correctly back then, but it worked. I will start again using the resources you sent along, but keep the ticket open incase I run into any issues.
