SP Builder 5.2.9 Issue With Article Slider And Vertical Slider Elements In Gazette Template

Hi

After upgrading SP Builder to version 5.2.9, I am experiencing issues with the "article slider" and "article vertical slider" elements in the gazette template.

Specifically:

Article Vertical Slider:

  • Does not respond to article selection.
  • Does not display the background image.

Article Slider: Before the upgrade:

  • Did not display the background image. After the upgrade:
  • Still does not display the background image.
  • Displays the same article 5 times instead of once.

I have also tried clearing the cache and cookies, but the issue persists. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Ηι!! I am having an issue with the Elemen vertical article slider. You can also see it on the Gazette template demo. When I click on it, it does not respond.

Have you observed this issue? Can you suggest a solution? Thank you.

Please go to this location:

templates/shaper_gazette/sppagebuilder/addons/articles_vertical_slider

and replace site.php file with the attached file. You need to unzip the file and then replace. site.php.zip

Let me know if this solves the issue.

Good morning!

The issue with the articles_vertical_slider element has been resolved, and I greatly appreciate your assistance with that. However, the problem with the articles_slider element persists. Specifically, the articles slider displays more than one article, and one article is even displayed 4-5 times. Even if there is only one article, it will be displayed multiple times. Additionally, the navigation arrows appear outside the frame, resulting in a large gap between it and another element. I am sending you images of this malfunction via Google Drive and would greatly appreciate your help. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lsmAxprcycko4ygBWfzWQtH-XkxdiW9h?usp=sharing In addition, I would like to inform you that the Joomla version I am using is 5.1.0 and the SP Builder version is 5.3.0.

Hi...!!

I'm writing to follow up on the issue I previously reported regarding the element article slider. I noticed that some interventions were made, but unfortunately, the problem persists.

Could you please investigate this matter further and provide a solution as soon as possible? I need to resolve this issue to continue working on the website's development.

If there's an alternative solution available, please let me know.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Finally, I have solved your issue. You have to set Slider Items -> 1 or any number. It was empty and thus all items are shown one under another.

Hi there...

The issue with multiple appearances has been resolved and I thank you for that. However, two minor issues remain. These are aesthetic issues related to the element itself, and they are the two navigation arrows that appear out of frame in the lower left corner and the dots that appear within rectangular boxes on the right side. Despite my efforts, I was unable to remove the navigation arrows. It would be greatly appreciated if these issues could also be corrected to achieve a perfect appearance. Thank you for your continued efforts.

Please use this CSS to

Template Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS

.owl-nav.disabled {
    display: none;
}

and set Navigation Arrows to No.

Good morning,

Unfortunately, there are still some issues:

  1. In the Article slider element, the dots are still visible at the bottom right inside a rectangle, which is unsightly.
  2. In the Articles vertical slider element, while it displays 3 articles, at some point it displays 2 articles and then 3 articles again, for no reason.

I would greatly appreciate your help with this matter.

Please use this CSS to

Template Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS

.sppb-addon-articles-slider.bg_image .owl-dots .owl-dot.active span{
    box-shadow: none;
}

I do not get the second issue.

Good morning,

I applied the CSS style you provided, but the issue persists. The goal is to remove the rectangles surrounding the dots, not the dots themselves.

I would like to know if these issues can be resolved so that I can continue my work.

Thank you very much for your time.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request your assistance with a technical issue I am encountering while developing a new website using the News365 template.

I have recently installed the template's quickstart package on Joomla 5.2 in order to begin customization. However, I have noticed that the small icons within the template are not rendering correctly. I have attempted to troubleshoot this issue by performing a clean installation of the template, but the problem persists.

I would be grateful if you could provide guidance on how to resolve this issue. The URL of the website is

pdeipeir.pde.sch.gr.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Good morning. I am writing to follow up again on my previous request concerning the missing small icons in the News365 template. While the icons are displayed correctly on the homepage, they vanish when I navigate to individual articles. After extensive troubleshooting regarding the disappearance of small icons and their replacement with small squares while navigating the website, I've discovered that this issue occurs when I uninstall SP builder and then reinstall it in a more recent version, as updates are not always automatic. Therefore, I suggest you try this on your local site and if the issue persists as I've described, please fix the bug. Thank you very much for your time!!

"Good evening, thank you very much for solving the previous problem. However, I would like to ask the following: I am creating a new article and I select an image in the Intro Image field in the Images and links tab (I am using the JCE Editor). I select the same image in the Full Article Image field. I display the article on an SP builder Page using the Articles component. The image (Intro Image) does not appear... When I open the article, the full Article Image appears. I also tried uploading it to the Helix3 Blog Options tab in the featured Image field and only then the intro image appears in the Articles component. Is there any option to display the images from the Intro Image field so that I don't have to keep uploading the same image for articles of thesame category? "Also, there is only one new article of mine and the image that appears has been uploaded to the Helix3 Blog Options tab." Thank you very much!!"

I have renamed these files to remove Article addon overrides from your template. Now it will work. Intro Image will show on the Articles addon. Article details page will show Full Article Image.

"Good morning, thank you for your time. However, this change doesn't solve the problem, it simply replaces the add-on with another one that has different functionality. I would prefer the original add-on if it's possible to fix the issue, as I like its layout options more." " Thank you very much!!"

If you do not have Blog Options image, then Intro Image will be shown on the Articles addon.

Good morning,

I would like to report an issue that suddenly occurred, possibly due to an upgrade of SP Builder. The problem concerns the Articles component of SP Builder and arises when selecting the option to display all posts, as shown in the files below: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/18lGq6zI6NJAqttix78oUmkDL9PFEO8Ja?usp=sharing

The Articles component also exhibits another malfunction when we choose the Default option under the Select Layout property.

In general, various malfunctions occur frequently, and I’m unsure how safe it is to continue using SP Builder, which is otherwise a beautiful and creative tool.

Thank you very much. I look forward to your assistance.

Good Morning Thank you for resolving the issue with the error message that was caused by another application. However, I'm not sure whether it should affect the functionality of the SP. There is still a malfunction with the "articles" component when we choose the "Default" option under the "Select Layout" property.
