I would wait with Joomla upgrade for next 1-2 months, becuase the last update of SP LMS was last year | Jan 2023. Wait for next component update.
If you have SPPB 3.8.10 it will NOT work in Joomla 5. Only SPPB 5.x does. More in SPPB documenation.
if you have time, recover website backup on test subdomain, and upgrade there ignoring all warnings, test and you will be sure. This is always smart way, not I will panic later.
