Macro J5-ready?

Hello there, I have just searched for Joomla 5 ready-made templates in the search and Macro was displayed here. But when I go to the page of Macro itself, only a compatibility of J3 and J4 is displayed. What is correct here? Is Macro J5 ready?

Hi Freiherr,

In general yes, it will work in Joomla 5.1 , but remember about those 1-3 things:

  1. Update Helix3 plugin after installing Macro template (must be Helix3 v3.0.5) Screenshot 2024-05-04 at 07-32-04 Extensions Manage - joomla 5.1 - Administration.png
  2. In Macro Template settings > Advanced > Compile LESS to CSS : No > Save settings
  3. It may (and probably will) display some Deprecated messages becuase of using PHP 8.2/8.3 - but you can hide them in Global Configuration > Server > Error Reporting: None, OR read tip below.

ad 3) Most of them can be fixed by files override. Just download raw Helix3 template, unzip and using FTP override those files:

  • templates/shaper_macro/features/contact.php
  • templates/shaper_macro/features/footer.php
  • templates/shaper_macro/features/menu.php
  • templates/shaper_macro/features/tile.php
  • templates/shaper_macro/features/social.php
