How To Display Module Elements Side By Side And Sort Them Descending?

Hello,

I've created two "Articles - Categories" modules to display the years of my mushroom findings and my excursions as category-links.

Which CSS is needed to display the years space-saving side by side and sort them descending?

And does anybody know how I could hide categories with zero articles due to limited permissions of an user?

Best regards Andreas

Tips & answers:

  • Using modules - is not always a good option, becuase you need menu items anyway to have menu items to have short URLs aliases.
  • Joomla core "news/articles" modules have limited features, so sometimes it's better to buy more advanced (Pro) module to display articles in more customized way.
  • About "Articles - Categories" module - we don't customize (for example by adding new features, options) core modules. For that you need or different module or hire freenlancer (php developer) from your city.
  • As you know, Typical Joomla Core Questions "hide categories with zero articles ?" > forum.joomla.org
  • If list of categories is not often updated, maybe easier wil be just put them inside Custom Module as static links list.
