This is an HTML video editor. There is no good solution so far I know. Landscape video will work good in it but yours is on Potrait. The issue is with the video resolution.

You are right. There are solutions in the market. But for slideshow addon, it won't be much effective. You can try any custom solution in Raw HTML addon.

add this to custom css

.sppb-addon-video-local-source {
position: relative;
}

.sppb-addon-video .sppb-addon-video-local-video-wrap {
padding-top: 0%;
position: relative;
line-height: 0px;
}
