Option To Disable Inherited Color Library From Template Presets In SP Page Builder Pro

Dear Support Team,

I'm currently using SP Page Builder Pro in combination with Helix Ultimate and have a question regarding the color management system.

Is there a way to prevent the color library from automatically inheriting all colors from the template presets? In its current state, the list becomes quite long and includes many repetitive colors, which makes it harder to manage.

In most cases, a website only needs a primary and secondary color, and perhaps one or two additional accent or text colors. I do appreciate that the color library uses CSS --var definitions, which is a great feature. However, I would ideally like to define my own limited set of colors.

Would it be possible to:

  • Add a new tab or section in the Helix Ultimate template options for defining a primary, secondary, tertiary, and text color.
  • Then have only those defined colors automatically added to the SP Page Builder color library.
  • Optionally allow users to remove colors from the color library if they do not wish to use the full preset palette.

At the moment, it appears I cannot remove the inherited preset colors, nor can I limit the color library to just the custom variables I want to use. This limits flexibility for developers who prefer a minimal and consistent color setup.

Thank you for considering this improvement, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Kind regards, Remco
