Dynamic Content Rich Text: Umlauts Broken (UTF‑8 Mismatch) On Detail Pages

Hello JoomShaper Support,

we’re experiencing a character encoding issue with Dynamic Content in SP Page Builder. German umlauts are displayed incorrectly on detail pages when using the Rich Text field.

Example: Input in Rich Text: “Müller führt Öl über Äpfel & Grüße” Expected output: “Müller führt Öl über Äpfel & Grüße”

Actual output on detail page: “Müller führt Öl über Äpfel & Grüße” (or shown as question marks)

Scope: The issue occurs only with Dynamic Content detail views (Rich Text field). Standard Joomla articles and other content render correctly. Site, database, and headers are configured for UTF‑8 (utf8mb4).

Environment: Joomla: 5 SP Page Builder: 6 Template: Artolio, Mednic... (Quickstart!)

Steps to reproduce: Create a Dynamic Content collection with a Rich Text field. Enter text containing German umlauts, e.g., “Ä Ö Ü ä ö ü ß”.

Display the item on a Dynamic Content detail page. Observe incorrect characters on the detail page output.

Reproduced with default editor (TinyMCE) and without third‑party content filters.

Request: Please confirm whether there is a known issue with Dynamic Content Rich Text encoding on detail pages.

Provide a patch or guidance to ensure Rich Text is output with correct UTF‑8 encoding in Dynamic Content detail views.

Thank you! Robert
