Bulk Import > Method Not Allowed

SP Page Builder 1 week ago

Hi,

When trying the bulk import in page builder pro, I simply get a "Method not allowed" error. That does'nt tell me what I'm might be doing wrong.

I exported a bunch of pages from another site and I am trying to import them into my current devsite.

It might be worth to say that the current (dev)site has been just installed using a quickstart package.

What might be the problem?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,

Thank you, I solved the problem already. It seemed I used a slash sign in the name of a page and that wasn't the best of ideas.

Removing that sign solved the issue.

I must say the error "Method not allowed" is somewhat unclear.

Hi Bert,

Thank you for the update — I’m glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue.

Yes, using a slash ( / ) in the page name can cause routing conflicts, which may result in a “Method Not Allowed” error. That message is generated by the server when the URL structure becomes invalid, but we understand that it’s not very descriptive in this situation.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the clarity of the error message.

If you run into anything else, feel free to let us know — we’re happy to help.
